BRITISH touring car champion and Fifth Gear TV presenter Jason Plato is the latest big name to throw his weight behind team48 Motorsport.

Plato, 40, who has remarkably made a fully recovery after the supercar he was testing erupted into flames at the Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire last year, was seen in good spirit talking to team48 Motorsport founder Luther Blissett at the 2008 Autosport Show (held at Birmingham NEC).

It is thought that Plato, Autosport's 'National Racing Driver of the Year', is keen to work with Blissett to bring about a new Drivers' Club aimed at promoting motorsport to some of the big-name footballers of today.
